Prior to coming to the Bar, Dan worked at a local law firm in
Ipswich. During this period, he acted as a Solicitor Advocate
for a wide range of clients, focusing predominately on
Criminal and Family Law. Dan regularly appeared on behalf
of his clients the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts
as well as the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court.
In 2019 Dan was an Associate to his Honour Judge
Horneman-Wren SC in the Ipswich District Court. This
experience was invaluable.
In 2020 Dan commenced his full-time practice at the private
Bar. Dan has a particular interest in Criminal Law and
regularly appears in the Magistrates, District and Supreme
Court in all manner of criminal proceedings. He also has a
Family Law practice and accepts civil briefs in the area of
Defamation.
Dan is an active supporter and participant of the Ipswich
District Law Association.
Outside of work, Dan likes playing and coaching Rugby
Union, the odd round of golf and enjoys a spot of fishing.
Justin was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of
Queensland in 2002 and was employed as a Solicitor
Advocate for over 14 years until he was called to the Private
Bar in 2017. Justin is the founding member of Blair
Chambers and is currently head of Chambers.
Prior to coming to the Bar, he worked as a partner in a
growing regional firm.
Justin is based in Ipswich, but appears in Courts all over
Queensland and interstate. He runs a general practice, and
works primarily in Criminal and Family Law. Justin appears
in Family and Federal Circuit Court in relation to property
and parenting disputes, as well as child welfare matters and
domestic violence proceedings.
Justin has a general civil litigation practice and regularly
appears in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Court of
Queensland. He also appears in specialist courts such as the
Mental Health Court and the Children’s Court.
Justin has been heavily involved with the Ipswich District
Law Association as a Past President and Secretary, and
member of the CLE committee for many years.
Mitch obtained a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the
Queensland University of Technology. During his studies, he
made an impression in the moot court becoming the
Queensland Champion in Witness Examination (2007-2010),
Queensland Mooting Champion (2009-2010), Champion of
the Oxford International Moot Competition (2010), and the
2009 QUT Advocacy Prize winner.
Mitch joined the Royal Australian Navy as an officer. During
his service, Mitch obtained a Masters of Law from the
Australian National University with a dissertation
in statutory interpretation of work health and safety
legislation. In 2015, Mitch joined an in-house legal team
working in employment, WHS and insurance.
Mitch routinely represents the Commonwealth Government
Departments in WHS and employment matters. His
practice centres around employment/industrial law,
statutory prosecutions, criminal proceedings and
administrative law.
Mitch has a professional interest in legal education, and
teaches evidence and administrative law at Queensland
University of Technology.

Adam was admitted as a Barrister in 2011, whilst working as
prosecutor for the Queensland Department of Transport
and Main Roads. This role focused on regulatory
prosecutions and appeals regarding the heavy vehicle,
maritime and fisheries industries.
In 2014, Adam commissioned as a Legal Officer in the
Australian Army (permanent forces). He served in the 7th
Combat Brigade, Directorate of Operations and Security Law
and the Office of the Director of Military Prosecutions.
In June 2018, Adam was selected by the American National
Association of Attorneys General, to contribute to the
International Fellows Program in Washington DC. From late
2018 to mid 2019, Adam deployed as a Legal Advisor to the
Middle East and Afghanistan. This included the conducting
inquiries regarding Australian operations in Kabul.
Adam went to the private Bar in June 2020, practising in
criminal law, regulatory prosecutions, domestic violence
proceedings, family law, coercive hearings (CCC/ACIC) and
inquires. Adam regularly appears in court representing
individuals, or various Queensland and Commonwealth
government departments.
Adam is a regular advocacy instructor for the QUT Legal
Practise (PLT) course, and he also practises in Brisbane, as a
member of Briggs Lane Chambers.
